How to Measure Accurately

1. Waist Circumference

  • Stand up straight and breathe out normally.
  • Find the midpoint between the bottom of your ribs and the top of your hip bone (often just above your belly button).
  • Wrap a tape measure around your waist at this point. Keep it snug but not digging in, and parallel to the floor.
  • Read the measurement without sucking in your stomach.

2. Hip Circumference

  • Stand with your feet together.
  • Find the widest part of your hips and buttocks. This is the point you need to measure.
  • Wrap the tape measure around this widest point, ensuring it's level all the way around.
  • Make sure the tape is snug but not compressing your skin. Read the measurement.
