How to Measure
- 1Forehead: Measure across the widest part of your forehead, from temple to temple.
- 2Cheekbones: Measure from the outer edge of one cheekbone to the other (the widest points).
- 3Jawline: Measure from the tip of your chin to below your ear, then double it.
- 4Face Length: Measure from the center of your hairline to the tip of your chin.

Length-to-Width Ratio = Face Length ÷ Cheekbone Width
Forehead-to-Jaw Ratio = Forehead Width ÷ Jawline Width
Forehead-to-Cheek Ratio = Forehead Width ÷ Cheekbone Width
Jaw-to-Cheek Ratio = Jawline Width ÷ Cheekbone Width
Each face shape has a characteristic pattern of these ratios:
- • Oval: Length:Width ≈ 1.5, forehead slightly wider than jaw
- • Round: Length:Width ≈ 1.0, equal forehead and jaw
- • Square: Length:Width ≈ 1.0, forehead ≈ jaw ≈ cheekbones
- • Rectangle: Length:Width > 1.4, forehead ≈ jaw ≈ cheekbones
- • Heart: Forehead significantly wider than jaw
- • Diamond: Cheekbones widest, narrow forehead and jaw
- • Oblong: Length:Width > 1.4, rounded jaw, even widths
- • Triangle: Jawline wider than forehead
